UFM is a private, not-for-profit university whose mission is to teach and disseminate the ethical, legal, and economic principles of a society of free and responsible persons.

UFM represents a culture of learning where students and teachers constantly challenge conventional methods to experience a new standard of learning, where knowledge comes from their individual interpretation of readings, lectures, and discussions. Students learn about choices, develop a positive rational capacity to be tolerant of the ideas and rights of others, and make decisions for which they take responsibility. After graduation, they leave with that knowledge and build fulfilling lives.

At UFM ethics is a principle to live by. We trust people to make decisions based on ethical judgments. We graduate students with the common sense and sufficient knowledge to understand how the world works, so that they can dedicate themselves to creative activities with inventiveness and initiative. And by respecting the ethical principles of social coexistence, they will create peace and prosperity.

We hold that entrepreneurship is the engine of creativity and progress, and encourage it through our programs and degrees.

UFM is more than a university campus. Through our various projects, we believe culture opens the door to our imagination and stimulates critical thinking; nature as private property makes conservation an individual responsibility; the understanding and interpretation of history brings a new challenge to future generations. Education then becomes a process of discovery and not the mechanical absorption of ideas or principles.

While every student lives a different experience and every individual makes his/her own learning, they all live and learn to love freedom, and know that it comes with personal responsibility. UFM changes lives, one individual at a time.
